Roman or Medieval Bridge of Cangas de Onís ("El Puentón")

The iconic Roman Bridge of Cangas de Onís, locally known as el Puentón, spans the winding Sella River and is one of Asturias’ most recognizable landmarks.
Roman or Medieval?
Despite its name, the current structure dates to the 13th–14th c., likely built atop the foundations of an ancient Roman bridge on the old road linking Lucus Asturum (Oviedo) with Portus Victoriae (Santander).
