Marquinetti Restaurant — Taste the World’s Best Pizza in Tomelloso

In the heart of La Mancha, in the charming town of Tomelloso, you’ll find Marquinetti, the pizzeria of maestro Jesús Marquina, five-time World Pizza Champion. Cross its threshold and be seduced by the aroma of dough fermented for 72 hours, premium ingredients, and the passion of one who has elevated pizza to an art form.

Is Tomelloso home to the world’s best pizza?

With five gold medals, multiple silvers, and a Guinness record for the “Longest Pizza in the World” (1,141.5 m), Jesús Marquina has perfected the humble pizza into a masterpiece. Each creation proves why his name resonates from Italy’s championships to the hearts of pizza lovers everywhere.

Does Marquinetti also train other chefs?

Alongside the pizzeria stands his High-End Pizza Academy, active since 2001, where students worldwide learn long fermentations, stretching techniques, and baking secrets that transform each pie into a culinary spectacle.

Can I taste Marquinetti pizzas outside Tomelloso?

Yes—through the franchise Kilómetros de Pizza, Jesús Marquina shares his vision far and wide. Yet nothing matches the unique charm of the original Manchegan dough and the master’s own oven in Tomelloso.

What is the secret of Marquinetti pizzas?

The magic lies in the dough and flour. After up to 72 hours of fermentation, the crust emerges light, crisp outside and tender within. Balance is key: cheese, sauce, and toppings enhance, never overpower, the flavor.
